The Ensemble
This discussion has come up several times over the past few weeks. The question is: Is it worth it to be in the ensemble of a show? My answer, which is apparantly the minority...is an overwhelming YES!!!
Some of the best times that I have had in a show have been in the ensemble. No pressure, no stress. Fun times!! That is not to say that I don't like a good supporting role or a fun cameo from time to time, anyone who knows me knows that I do!!
A simple comment from a stranger this past weekend just pulled it all together for me. After 101 Dalmatians on Sunday we were doing our meet and greet and a random woman approached me. AFter she told me how much she enjoyed Dalmatians and my Cruella she said: "I'm a subscriber here and come to all the nighttime shows. I really enjoy all your performances. You are very good." I was stunned. Ensemble people really do get noticed from time to time. It totally made my weekend!!
