Very nice bit of Sam and Jess. I like stories that round off Jess's personality and I can easily see her as am accomplished rider. It makes sense that she'd want to share her horseback riding with Sam, too. I like Sam's last thought about riding into the sunset, and the last line with its intended 'not to be' punch.
