I stayed at home for the slaughter...

Today is Eid-ul-Adha, the Muslim celebration of Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son for god. In Pakistan, families that can afford it buy goats or cows in the days leading up to Eid and slaughter them after morning prayers. Each family keeps some of the meat, but much of it is distributed to the poor.

Here is our goat:

It had the most enormous ass I have ever seen:

Our landlord's garage was transformed into a butcher's shop:

Apparently, our landlord's father slaughtered 3 goats and a bull.

Amber has been hiding in the bedroom all day. My landlord just brought me a bowl full of goat meat. I didn't want to accept it (because I don't know how to cook it), but I think it would be rude not to.

Anyone want some goat meat? Anyone????
