First- I love Capaldi. I'm forming my Scottish Doctor's Appreciation Society, as Seven, Ten and Twelve are my favorite Doctors. I love his dialog, his attitude, his look- everything! Once again, first to comment. Have you got me on the LJ equivalent of speed dialing?

Yeah, I know, but I've been so careful to fit this into the existing timeline and keep it within the boundaries of canon that my little anal-retentive writer self is having a conniption fit. Since my RL tends to run towards chaos at the best of times, TOATNW is my one place where I feel like I'm in control and now Moffat has to flounce in and stomp all over my pretty sandcastle.

Don't mind me- I'm just having a hissy fit and want to reserve the right, should the occasion arise, to be able to say, 'Hey! That was my idea FIRST!' Or hopefully- 'Nope, nada, nein, nyet. Mine's better." Oh, well- a girl can dream.

Well, the next few weeks will be crazy with the Fall Jewish holidays coming up, so I might not be so fast in responding.

When it comes to fanfic and the Canon "ruining" something you've planned... if the story calls for what you wrote, then sod the Canon!

Moffatt has already thrown a spanner in the works of many fics with his "Gallifrey Falls No More". So much of Ten and his canon are shot to hell because of it. If Gallifrey really wasn't destroyed/timelocked/hidden away, then how the hell did the Master "bring" the Timelords back?

Fan fiction is for us writers to correct the mistakes made by the idiots are supposedly in charge.

Weelllll, you have a point. (Am I the only one worried by the number of references to Ten this season so far? Moff better keep his grimy paws of my Time Lord is all I can say or he'd better head for the hills. According to my sister's recent research, there seems to be a fair amount of both Scots and Irish in our genealogy, which might go a ways towards explaining both my temperament and my preferences in many things.)

The nice thing about DW is that they routinely revise their own cannon, so if they can do it willy-nilly, so can I. That's my justification, anyway.

Jumping in, but there have been a lot of not only Ten references, but specific references about S4. The most blatant being Rusty (ha, ha... nice bone thrown to RTD) having been at The Crucible. I don't know if it's because Capaldi was in S4 or it's some wonky foreshadowing on grrr... ::: shakes fist ::: The Moff's part, but you're not alone in seeing the references. Just my two (ten?) cents.

Har-de-har-har. I think I'm still waiting on the conclusion of one of your little gems, Fair Trade, unless I missed it somehow? (*scrabbles frantically to check*)

Woman, I'm writing as fast as my thumbs and schedule will allow! You do know I compose most of my writing on my older-than-dirt mobile phone, correct? BUT- I may be able to get this next part out a bit before schedule, if my luck holds, and then it will be closer to some showdowns.

Seriously, though, I know you're swamped with school and life and I greatly appreciate the comments and the support.

Do you really? Oh my goodness, that's so impressing. I mean, I can barely reach 5000 words in a story with my computer and unlimited time on my hands.

It's mostly a function of where and when I can grab a few minutes to write uninterrupted. I work in a job where I'm pretty busy processing documents and as I do that, entire scenes of dialog pop into my head and putting them down immediately in my phone is the quickest option I have.

Life for me is hectic, but I'm not complaining. All is going well, even if I'm a bit tired. I'm happy and hope you are as well.
