"For a tiny, almost insignificant sliver of a second, their eyes met and Jack saw Forever."
What a powerful image. Donna would have "forever" in her eyes, a remnant of the ageless nature of the Doctor's mind.
Oh, naughty, naughty Donna. Texting Peter pictures of sexy lingerie while he was at work! Trying to get him all worked up. And he recognized Jack, and went running. Clever of Donna to send him that picture.
You had to get the dig in about the hug, didn't you?! ;D I'm assuming we'll get the Peter/Jack showdown now. I trust Donna's mind will reset itself back to post-JE mode and all will be fine. Unless it's adapted itself enough to assimilate the memories without the complete burn. (Resistance is futile - you will be assimilated!)
EDIT -> Oh! And just how quickly did that "MRS. Carlisle" pop out of her mouth!??! :DDDD

You were right- the pictures worked better as the intro to this party rather than the end of the last one. I figure Peter is still relatively private, but he counts both Alec and Ian among his friends instead of just work acquaintances.
I'm glad you liked the forever line- that was my One Perfect Sentence in this chapter, along with the hug comment. Those were the first things that popped into my head when Jack showed up on the scene and insisted on being in the story.
And the lingerie pics were as much to keep Jack in place as anything else. She figured he'd either bolt in embarrassment or forget to look uninterested and either outcome would suit her purposes. As for the Mrs. Carlisle? Oh, I can hardly wait to show where that little slip will take us, in the next part, I think. I usually have to take a few days off between installments, but not this time. It's coming through loud and clear this time. Let's hope my luck holds long enough to write it all down before my muse takes a nap.
