I've just been looking at my physicsdiet charts of my weight over the last month, 3 months. They are all showing a nice downward trend, which is all very encouraging.
But I know, I used to be 'lighter'.
So I changed it to show the last 12 months and what do you know, it showed a steady increase!! Yes, 12 months ago, my weight was under 51kg (just under 50.9kg / 112 pounds); whereas now, I'm a whole kg heavier on the average weight. So 52kg/114.2 pounds.
Now I should say, long before I started trying to lose the excess weight I put on from pregnancy, my BMI was 'normal'. For me, it's strange when I think I'm FAT, it says I'm 'normal'. But having said that, because the average Asian expectation of weight is a lot lower anyway. Even now my weight to my height (160cm/5"3), I'm considered slightly overweight.
The chart looked quite bad with all the red and upward increases. Until I took a closer look, I pretty much just fluctuate around 1kg +/-.
Because I get more and more comfortable with the way I look (visually, size wise). I stop caring as much about how much I weigh on the scale. I go through phases.
Then what happen is, as soon as I get to a certain lower point, I start snacking more. As annoying as it sounds, well it's simple, the more I eat, the more weight I put on... 'most' of the time.
I also know, with a lot of my clothes, they start to look too baggy and pants getting too loose. So even though the weight says one thing, there's something else going on.
I could almost see a 4 pack on my abs, not that I have a nice looking one, but it is definitely flatter than what it used to be for a 'long' time, even compare back to when I thought I was 'skinny'. (With the exception when I was 14, literately a 21.5 inch waist and seriously, I was only 4 cm / 1.6 inches shorter than I am now and I weigh 46kgs/101.2 pounds. Believe me, there weren't any other development that should make me heavier other than I've gained more fat and got bigger! Sure, some people say but you were just a kid back then! But I was almost my adult height. So I do miss that.... :P But can't be 14 again, eh.
Anyway... after all these rambling, the point is...
Scale weight doesn't always tell the whole picture!
Oops... little one is up, gtg!
