I love the way River's completely oblivious to the way Jayne's actually reacting to her. Of course, he was very good at giving responses she expected of him.

And then the whole surprise make out session was nice. lol

Another thing I really liked was the way River looked to the other women as examples and found things she wanted to emulate(sp?) in each of them.

As a last thought, Jayne saying "You're mine" - one of my favorite things ever.

Good on so very many levels!

If she intentionally modeled herself after the soldier woman, River was afraid the weapon would have one more foothold, would be one step closer to permanent control.

Wonderful insight, there.

Plus, I loved the different meanings of 'control', with River trying to take control over her own life and satisfy her adult needs, while using Jayne as the 'negative control' element in her experiment (and thus requiring Jayne to exercise extreme self-control to keep her from knowing just how much she's getting to him as she practices her womanly arts).
