Re your previous comment, I cannot rec the Chinese drama enough. It might actually be my favourite version of the TeniPuri story, the drama adds so much heart and it makes me love Seigaku like the anime/musicals never did. I might even put up a pimp post at one point, it's that good. Hopefully the subbers will re-upload their files - but I know what you mean, there are so many things I wish I'd grabbed before Megaupload went down D:
You can find the RikkaiMyu finals subbed at amaris_subs! Sadly not as D1-filled as the Kantou finals, but you can see them doing cute stuff in the background if you're like me and zone in on them a lot
I watched the Cinderella PairPuri episode - eeeek I'm sorry it wasn't D1 playing the ugly sisters after all! But I loved they dressed up as doctors for some skit, that was a good bonus :D. Rikkai crack!

Man I feel BAD for not getting into it. I feel like I'm missing something D: (it's not like missing the live action movie lol) It did seem like they were older from what I did see (I think I watched the first few episodes) While I'm sure the subbers might reupload, I'm just not sure when since they do have other series to work on. Man why did the internet have to BREAK.
Yeah I found them, I just need to find the time to download them all. XD At least I know the links are alive. I do like tend to zone out and see what the other actors are doing in the main matches. I mainly just want to find this and dork over it.

It's surprisingly straight! Some stuff gets changed for the sake of better TV, and it usually works. Mostly Ryoma stops being a Gary Stu and actually struggles with life/tennis a bit, which I thought was a really good move!
Uggghhh I love that exchange between MasaBaba. I think it was at the end of RikkaiMyu Final 2, when the cast all came out at the end and did little farewell speeches. BABA LOOKS SO HAPPY. I'm really sad Yagyuu doesn't get a match in the finals, especially because Baba does some of his best live singing in those musicals.
Nothing will make me believe that Yagyuu isn't massively into cosplay! I also think he was definitely the one who came up with the switch idea. IT TOTALLY DIDN'T CLICK FOR ME that D1 must have bought the doctor coats after their shopping trip! Feeding into my need to write, oh God.
I saw the edit for your other comment about D1's seiyuu, and JESUS CHRIST THE WORLD IS EXPLODING WITH D1. AND I LOVE IT.

I think this Chinese drama is a good take on the series if you're looking at them when they're older (since everyone is totally 14. Sanada) I have to say that Ryoma does seem like a gary stu at times. It's probably that my interest in Seigaku has significantly dropped since getting into PoT. My god how LONG have I been in this fandom?
AAAAAAAAAH I want to see it. Masa and Baba are so amazing ;A; I admit that I didn't really ...finish the manga. I didn't get my Tezuka vs Yukimura :( And knowing Yagyuu didn't play makes me sad since Yagyuu is my favorite Rikkai member. Baba sings so well too ( ... )

The manga ended up being the biggest disappointment ever, I think I stopped reading after Higa because a) I wanted a Tezuka vs Atobe re-match and b) I wanted a Tezuka vs Yukimura showdown too! Tezuka got the worst deal ever, he was always either out of action or gave all the good opponents to Ryoma.
I HAVE THE STUPIDEST SNIPPET FOR YOU EVER, I DON'T EVEN. Maybe later I'll turn it into something longer and a bit less stupid.

This could have been taken as a perfectly standard request. Niou, however, knew exactly what Yagyuu meant by shopping. It wasn't that he was narrow-minded about things like cosplay, but last time Yagyuu tried to get him in on some crazy Dragon Ball idea that came with its own stupid pose. (Niou’d refused, though he could tell Yagyuu hadn’t let the matter drop completely yet, and whatever Yagyuu wanted, Yagyuu usually got ( ... )

I can't even remember when I stopped reading the manga. I might go back for Hyotei and Rikkai but yeah after it's just Seigaku winning, it became a bore. Tezuka vs Yukimura is the true match dammit!! And Tezuka vs Kabaji was it? I don't remember

SNEAKY YAGYUU IS THE BEST. The anime doesn't do justice to Rikkai at all, and especially to D1. Anime!Yagyuu is really chirpy and gets flustered a lot, which is totally not how I imagined him to be (but always fun for the crack).
P.S. I ORDERED MINE AND IT SHIPPED TODAY!! I was hearing a lot about how it's starting going out of stock everywhere so I was like oh shit better get myself a copy sharpish. The only thing is I'M OUT ALL WEEKEND so I can't even play it until next week D: D:

The anime did WEIRD things to Rikkai. I love the seiyuu to DEATH but the anime was... odd since they seriously toned down Rikkai's violence. I just finished rewatching D1's match, they didn't do the switch so Yagyuu (Niou I guess) never knocked out Eiji or used the Laser Beam. It's nice that the Shin Prince of Tennis is staying closer to the manga.
PS AHHH I HOPE YOU GET IT SOON. I hear that the shipments for Abyss were really small in Europe, a lot of people are having problems finding the game. Well I don't get my game until Tuesday!! THIS IS GOING TO BE THE LONGEST FUCKING WEEK EVER /CRYING

I guess the anime was trying to cater to a young audience, but it also made Yagyuu a super lame golf player, I mean wtf. Apparently Shin Tenipuri anime cut out the epic Yukimura/Sanada match though D: D: I'm going to have to read those chapters now.
P.S. I was hoping it would get here today but NOPE. Good thing I've got important things out of my life for the next month because I will be doing VERY LITTLE once it does.
P.S. AHHHHH HOW ARE THEY SO CUTE. I love that the first panel of Shishido we see is just of his hair. Konomi's interview was great as well, he's basically saying HEY, SP HAS A BACKSTORY :D :D.
