Update on the new job
So, it's official. I got the new job and I know my schedule.
I will be working Thursday through Sunday from 1:00pm to 11:30pm. I will have Monday through Wednesday off, which will give me time to work my other job for a few hours a day.
The part about all of this that sucks is that they have me working for a few hours on Christmas Eve and then a full shift on Christmas Day. The shift on Christmas Day really sucks because it is going to leave Carl all alone that day. He does all of his stuff with his family on Christmas Eve and then usually joins Justin and me for Christmas Day. But, I will be working and Justin is going out of town. I feel so bad - but they would not give me the job if I did not start right away.
I'm sorry, Carl. I hope you can come over in the morning so I can spend at least a couple of hours with you.
I guess a new job always comes with new burdens. I just wish this didn't have to happen on Christmas Day.
