Last night -- it was about 4am my time, which makes it what, 11pm in the US/Canada West Coast? So, yeah. I had just finished watching the latest episode of Eureka, and
I posted on Twitter about it [no spoilers, just a reaction]. THREE SECONDS LATER
I got a reply from the writers, who were obviously stalking the #eureka hashtag for the West Coast feed. [And then I re-replied explaining my first comment and they were adorkbs enough to reassure me. Which: HEE. Extremely amusing.] I'm glad to know it's not just us peasants who spend a many time cyber-stalking people on the internets [on Friday nights, no less].
Anyway.
Thoughts on the new season of Eureka:
. James Callis, sir, you're a gentleman and a scholar and I adore you and you playing arrogant jackass brilliant scientist from the 1940s is pretty much all I didn't even know I needed from television. Thank you.
. It's not even the first time they've done it, but I love the shifted reality twist. I really do. HOWEVER:
---- I don't love it AT ALL that they pretty much destroyed Jack/Tess for the sake of Jack/Allison again. Uuuuugh. Also, because we-the-audience know what's going on, Tess now kinda looks like an idiot in this whole thing, and I HATE THAT A LOT.
---- OH MY FUCKING ZOD THEY HAD ZANE PROPOSE AND THEN HE DOESN'T EVEN LIKE JO ANYMORE OMFG GAAAH. Ack. Poor Jo-Jo. Also, if they go anywhere near Jo/Fargo I SWEAR I'LL CUT SOMEONE DEAD. BECAUSE NO. Aaaaaack.
. PS: Zoe, come baaaaack I miss you bb!

I was behind on Royal Pains, so I did some catching up last night. YOU GUYS. Two episodes ago -- they actually had the two female characters in the credits HAVE AN ENTIRE CONVERSATION about the fact that they only knew each other because of male lead dude, but that THEY SHOULD CHANGE THAT AND BECOME REAL FRIENDS BECAUSE THEY REALLY LIKE AND RESPECT EACH OTHER. And then they did and they spent the rest of the episode being friendly and adorable and I swear to Zod I couldn't believe was happening! And there was even a bit of follow-up in this week's episode too. Who woulda thunk, Royal Pains.
Un-related to the paragraph above spoilery spec on Royal Pains:
- Okay, don't tell me if you know, but... Divya isn't leaving, right? I mean! She can't! And this is not even me using my 'ship goggles and being all a-squeeful over the fact that Evan is completely freaking out about the fact that she's leaving [but: HEEEE EVAN.], it's about the fact that she's my very favorite character on the show and if she leaves I'll be sad and lonely and probably stop watching because Divya >>>>>>> everyone else ever.
- Can they please please PLEASE keep Tucker around and make him a regular? 'Cause Tucker is awesome.
- Last night's episode was ridiculously more hilarious when you've recently started watching Smallville and they spent 90% of the episode screaming "Oliver!"/"Ollie!" around and Tucker was called "boyscout" about seven times and then Evan mentioned Krypton and there were superpowers and superheroes and "Hey, Superman, with great power comes great responsibility" / "That's Spiderman." LOLZ.

Anyone else watching Skiffy's new show, Haven? I admit I decided to give it a try because I'm a sucker for Stephen King adaptations [no matter how lame they are, even *g*], but then the pilot was really really REALLY good, and last night's episode wasn't so bad either.
I mean -- it's nothing new, it's X-Files for the new millennium minus the annoying talking doll and the Hokey Pokey. And it's got all of the Stephen King clichés -- the main character is an orphan who doesn't know anything about her past, she's also an outsider coming into a folksy town in Maine [OBVIOUSLY] where there's a whole lot of weird stuff is happening, so on and so far. But hey, the cast is good, the music is AWESOMEFUCKINGTASTIC [no, really], and you gimme sarcastic dialog and decent special FXs any day and I'm sold.
Also, it's BEAUTIFUL:
So, you know. Watch Haven, peoples.
