that might have something to do with the fact that they can fly

A billion years ago, before my brain was completely and utterly eaten by Loserville [no, seriously, I'll just point you guys to the ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY POSTS in two weeks. *headdesk*], I commented on a couple of posts with the interview meme in them. Three centuries later, here are the answers --

typicrobots interviewed me:

1. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

You know what? I thought about this ever since I first got the question, and the truth is -- I live exactly where I've always wanted to live, and I love it here fiercely, and I don't really wanna live anywhere else.

If, however, this entitled being filthy rich and not having to work for a living, then I'd spend my life chasing Autumn all over the planet. Yeah.

2. What is your schmoopy fic scenario for Ollie and Chloe?

Oh God, it's them being co-workers, and lovers, and family, and PARTNERS in every sense of the world. Which hi, they kind of actually are right now in canon? I KNOW, RIGHT, WHO WOULDA THUNK?

My very favorite thing about Chloe/Ollie is that they've come to this point where they trust each other implicitly to back each other up in any and all situations. I love it that they worked through their massive heap of trust issues -- the people they killed, the whole superhero secret thing, the fact that they went from "you're stealing from me" to "I'm spending a small fortune of Oliver's money to upgrade Watchtower's security" to "You know Chloe? She's got this really big building filled with a lot of expensive stuff I paid a lot of money for" [SERIOUSLY: BEST.] and they've come to lean on each other and they ACTUALLY TALK ABOUT THINGS LIKE REASONABLE ADULTS and that is just... well, pretty perfect.

Anyway. The schmoopy fic scenario would be for them to keep doing what they've been doing -- working together at the head of the JLA for years and years to come, and, you know, having lots and lots of sex while at it. :) Or, alternately, this fic. Yeah.

3. WHY IS GLEE NOT BETTER?

HAHA. Truestory: I like Glee fine while I'm watching it. It's entertaining and I laugh tons, but that's pretty much it. But I know what you mean. My theory is that there isn't a single character in this show that is a character in the true sense of the word. They don't have storylines, they have punchlines. All of them are just stereotypes that are gonna be perpetuated by the narrative, without any sort of actual development coming their way.

But the thing is, this doesn't work because it's done half-way. They keep trying to give the show a heart, or at least some way for the audience to emphasize with the loser of the week, and that's what KILLS it. They should be going for the jugular, but they're not, which is a shame, really.

4. Was ScarJo as awful as I think she's going to be in Iron Man 2?

Everyone's seen the movie by now, but I quite liked Natasha, so there. The only thing I wished we had seen more was her relationship with Pepper, actually.

Also: I am one of the three people on the entire internets who adores Scarlett Johansson dearly, so I truly don't get the hatred AT ALL. I mean -- I've loved her since she was freaking sixteen and was on Ghost World, which is one of my favorite movies of all times, and I will ALWAYS love every person involved in that flick for the rest of ever.

5. I heard about the sex scene in the Buffy S8 comics and since you are a sane person, I imagine you're not on board with it. What would your Buffy S8 look like?

Not only I'm not on board, I REFUSE to even know what is going on in that story. I mean, I know they had sex and that Angel is evil again, but other than that? I don't care. And I don't care that this is canon, IT IS NOT LA LA LA CAN'T HEAR YOU.

My Buffy S8 would be about rebuilding everything, from the broken relationships [and not just the romantic ones, but the friendships as well] to the Watcher's Council, and at the same time, it would be about creating a new order with the mini-slayers being at the center of it. What I hated the most about the comics way back when I was still reading them was the fact that everyone was scattered all over the world. That sucked. I wanted them to find a place where they could go through the process together.

...

And then whisperwords did it as well:

1. If you could un-cancel any three shows that you feel were canceled prematurely, which shows would you save and why?

1. Firefly. The story was just beginning, there's just SO MUCH we don't know about those characters, and I really really still feel like I was robbed of something great. Also, I didn't really care about the story Serenity told, so if the show kept on going, there wouldn't be a movie and story wise, that would've made me happy.

2. Farscape. They really needed an entire fifth season to finish telling the story. I recently re-watched The Peacekeeper Wars for the first time since it aired and while this time around I didn't hate it [like I first did], I really REALLY wish they'd had the time to develop everything before the actual war came.

3. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. BECAUSE I NEEDED TO SEE THAT CRAZY FUTURE SCENARIO, OKAY? YES, I'M STILL BITTER I MISS MY SHOW AND I WILL ALWAYS WANT IT BACK. AAARGH.

:)

2. If you were only allowed to have one full album to listen to for the rest of your life, which album would you choose?

Oh God, I can't choose. ACK. EVIL QUESTION. Okay. Right at this moment it would be Radiohead's In Rainbows, but I'm pretty sure if you ask me again tomorrow the answer will change. [Actually, when you asked two weeks ago, the answer was probably gonna be Joanna Newsom's Ys. Hee.]

3. If you could go back in time and save one musical artist from making a big career misstep, whose snafu would you fix and what exactly would you keep them from doing?

I would sit the Dave Matthews Band down and FORCE THEM to release The Lillywhite Sessions instead of going with fucking Glen Ballard as a producer and releasing Everyday instead. I get that Dave was getting sober and shit, and the 'Sessions was the saddest most depressing record ever, but it was the PERFECT record. And since I've pretty much hated everything else they released since Everyday, I KNOW that was the turning point, so. Yeah.

4. If you could recast any movie, which movie would you recast and why?

Aside from the obvious race!fail movies, which I would very much like to recast [see: Avatar: the Last Airbender], the one movie that I would really love to recast is Batman Begins. Now, don't get me wrong, I've been in love with Christian Bale since I was eleven years old, but he's A HORRIBLE BATMAN. It doesn't help that the movie sucks and that Christopher Nolan is the worst director in Hollywood these days, but OH HOW I WISH the Bale would've said NO to the Bat suit. And don't get me started on Liam Neesom playing the. exact. same. character. he did on Star Wars, and Katie Holmes doing this movie after being recently zombified by Tom Cruise, which turned her into the worst actress ever. And Gary Oldman never has been and will never be Commissioner Gordon, the end.

Michael Caine and Cillian Murphy could stay, maybe, but everyone else? I really wish they'd gone with unknown actors rather than the fail that it was.

5. How would you describe the best possible creative setting in which you could get your iconning/picspamming work done?

I actually need very little from the outside environment to be able to photoshop. Give me some free time and some music and I'm ready to go... as long as I have the inspiration. Since I'm very much in the zone right now, it's even easier to describe: all of my best work comes forth when I'm obsessing with a particular character and/or 'ship to the point where I'm losing sight of everything else. Yeah, it sounds crazy, and well, it IS crazy, but the fact is that the more fic I read, the more I re-watch the episodes, the more I talk/think/flail about it, the more I feel this unrestrained URGE to create something out of it. And I swear the stupid Loserville tumblr saved my brain from exploding several times these past couple of weeks.

...

I'm not even gonna copy and paste the actual meme, 'cause that's so three weeks ago, but if anyone still wants to be interviewed, come forth and I'll throw some questions your way. :)

movies: batman begins, tv: glee, radiohead, i 'ship therefore i am, tv: farsape, photoshop ate my brain, tv: firefly, tv: buffy, nikity, joanna newsom, tv: smallville, tv: sarah connor chronicles, i might be insane
