BIRTHDAY!

*twirls around*

And on top of it, I totally woke up with it's my party and I'll cry if I want to stuck in my head. *pets stupid brain*

...

Anyway. Now that the crazy insanity of the big picspam of doom is past [though not really, because there's a chance I might be making icons out of the images now. WHY CAN'T I QUIT, YOU, STUPID PRETTY IMAGES?], let's talk about television:

How I Met Your Mother:

CALLED IT. And you can ask my real life friends about it too. *g*

I just knew it that come November sweeps, they would break Barney and Robin up and that would be it [for now? Possibly]. And I don't even mind that they're broken up, what I mind is that this episode was just so. damn. booooring. And really. You bring me a fat suit and I won't find it funny regardless of what happens, the end.

...

Glee:

FACT: Glee is A LOT better when it's about the kids -- especially the supporting kids -- especially Kurt. [OH MY GOD HOW AWESOME IS CHRIS COLFER?!] Hence my two favorite episodes so far being Preggers and now, Wheels.

Plus, it helps that I'm not really 'shipping anyone anymore. I mean -- I'm open to pretty much any kind of coupledom amongst the teens [Finn/Brittany! They can be stupid together!]. And I don't wanna know ANYTHING AT ALL about the adults' love life.

...

Bones:

OH SHOW. OH MY GOD, SHOW!

There's a slight possibility Bones is my current favorite show on TV. And really, I don't even understand how that happened -- I was read to quit it after the DISASTER of last season's finale, but they gone and turned that trainwreck into a thing of BEAUTY. Booth's self-doubt, Bones' desperate awareness of everything he does differently, it all fits so perfectly I'm almost ready to admit Hart Hanson had it all planned [though he really didn't!].

And I gotta say, I love it -- LOVE LOVE LOVE IT -- the way they're handling Booth/Bones. First with Booth thinking he was in love with Bones because of the dream and now having GORDON GORDON!!! tell him that no, it has nothing to do with his brain -- what he's feeling is not a result of the brain tumor/surgery -- what's happening is that he's in love with his best friend and he's convinced himself he can't be and so he's HURTING. Oh, Booth. *cuddles*

It really broke my heart, you know, "she doesn't love me. I would know if she loved me", when it's clear to everyone WITH EYES that yes, Bones loves him back [the fact that she see things so rationally, and that she thinks of love as something she can explain scientifically doesn't mean she can't feel it. 'Cause she totally does!].

Cam even told Booth so -- that he needs to be sure of what he's feeling or else Bones will shut herself down to love forever. But of course Booth understood that as "do nothing until she does", and so he's just waiting and suffering in silence and convincing himself she doesn't love him back because she hasn't said anything. Because Bones always speaks her mind -- except he ALSO doesn't know that she's hiding stuff from him about him -- the whole wrong foot wrong hand thing she told Sweets. And this is Bones, and she doesn't do tact and she doesn't measure her words about anything. But she's so damn worried about Booth that she'll go to Sweets [of all people!] with her worries. If that's not love then I don't know what is.

Follow Gordon Gordon's advice, Booth -- patience. Hope and patience. *loves this show insanely*

Ugly Betty:

I'm not one to agree with Mike Ausiello often, but he posted the other day about how GOOD Ugly Betty has been this season, and it's true. This was the other series I was ready to quit last season, but I'm glad I stuck with it, because the show really does seem to have found its footing again. And I think they realized how frustrating it was last season that they took away most of Betty's development by the finale -- but now they've given her all of it back and more!

Random things:

-- Wilhelmina's trainwreck of a storyline is possibly the most awesome thing they ever did to the character. She resigned! Connor is dead! Nico's boyfriend is blackmailing her and she doesn't know her daughter is involved! I can't wait to see the fallout of it all.
-- MARK! Being so awesome! He can't help but be a friend to Betty, he's actually helping Justin out of the goodness of his heart, he's become so freaking honest with Wilhelmina it's actually scary. And wonderful to watch!
-- Now if they'll just move ahead with the OBVIOUSLY A SCHEME CULT storyline Daniel is involved in, because omfg don't be that stupid, Daniel! Seriously, when AMANDA is the one to be the voice of reason, it's time to RUN THE HELL AWAY from the crazies.
-- Last weekend marcele told me she thinks they're now actually gonna go for Betty/Daniel, and I completely agree. They're certainly paving the way, and for the first time, I can believe it. I just hope they show doesn't get canceled before they can tell the entire story.

Being Erica:

Okay, so, it's a tie between Bones and Being Erica as my current favorite show. :)

I'm really loving the way they upped the game tenfold this season -- it's not just about Erica's regrets and going back to fix them anymore, and it's like they realized that opened the show up for so much development [especially the supporting characters! Brent, Julianne, Sam, they're all getting more storylines and that makes Erica's world more real.], it's become insane. In a very good way -- how great is it that you have NO IDEA of what to expect from each episode?

And then there's Kai, who's stuck in one of his time travels by his own choice [!!!!!], which in turn is kinda screwing with Erica's therapy, but at the same time, I really get why Kai decided to stay in 2009 -- and even though she might deny it, Erica does too. I'm kind of fascinated by their dynamics, and not really in a 'shippy way -- a little bit too Time Traveler's Wife for my tastes -- but it's been really good to see Erica having someone else besides Dr. Tom with whom she can be totally honest about herself.

Now if only she would dump Ethan and he'd go back to wherever it was he lived before he became her neighbor and I wouldn't have to look at his WHINY ANNOYING LOSER face anymore! [For real: Erica gives Sam so much grief about Josh, and then she's completely blind to the fact that Ethan is just as passive as Josh ever was. GAH!]

...

Legend of the Seeker:

HOLY TURN INTO DARKNESS, BATMAN.

Seriously. This show wasn't this dark last season, was it? Because these first two episodes had the most insane body count I've seen on TV in a really long time. And now there are ZOMBIES! And worse, a KID ZOMBIE that scared the crap out of me so badly I couldn't go to sleep after I watched the episode last night!

Of notice: Kahlan is still the bestest, Cara is still annoying, dear Richard Cypher: besides button your damn shirt now I'll also yell get a damn haircut at you. No wonder you remind me of my step-bro. *g*

...

V:

I'm having the exact same problem with V that I have with Flash Forward: the world is ending, people, WILL YOU PLEASE CRACK A JOKE?! All this damn ominousness is tiring, and frankly, I'm not sure I want to root for heroes who don't have a sense of humor.

Though I give V points for making me 'ship a freaking priest. HEE.

...

Yay, birthday!

:)

tv: glee, birthday!, tv: ugly betty, tv: legend of the seeker, tv: how i met your mother, tv: v, tv: being erica, tv: bones
