I haven't posted anything in over two weeks, but for a very good reason -- the first week I was working like crazy, and the second I was secluded at my grandparents' beach house doing absolutely nothing. :)
But now I'm back to real life [woe] and I've been trying to get caught up with all the TV I missed while I was away. I managed to watch a good chunk of stuff last night [BSG, Burn Notice, Leverage, Legend of the Seeker, Psych], but I still have ways to go. Here's a list so I can [hopefully] cross them all out tonight:
. Dollhouse 102 | 103
. Law & Order: UK 101 |102
. Numbers 516
. Terminator :The Sarah Connor Chronicles 216
. Ugly Betty 316
...
Megaupload & Tissa = a love story:
I usually download new episodes from torrents, but my favorite torrent place works with download/upload ratio and really, getting good ratios on week-old torrents is practically impossible. Hence, downloading a lot of crap from Megaupload lately. Which is made incredibly easy with a little help from my friends extensions. Here's how it works:
1. First I got myself a FREE account with MU just so the waiting time got dropped from 45 to 25 seconds.
2. Then I installed the
MU Integration extension because I live in one of the countries with ridiculously low free MU slots and that helps me *always* get a free slot.
3.
FlashGot comes into play then, because I always [ALWAYS!] use it to direct MU downloads straight into
GetRight [you can use
Orbit too, but I like GR better because I've been using it for the past decade. *g*]
4. And now comes the brilliant part: I've set GetRight to Automatic Download Mode, but set the downloading limits to ONE FILE at a time. What that means is that the first MU upload I send [via FlashGot] to GR starts automatically, but the following links will be queued -- and started each at a time, after the previous download have completed.
Yesterday it took me like, 10 minutes to find all the MU links I needed -- I put all of them [about 15 files] in queue and all of them were downloaded perfectly fine. And now I don't have to keep searching for files throughout the day -- I can do it all at once. WIN.

Is it true that you can now mess with people's LJ names by going
username? Can I call myself
dtissagirl that easily from now on? For once: LJ FTW!
[I'm choosing to ignore the massive fail of the Find Your Friends feature because they took it down anyway -- on account of it being the opposite of secure, even. Gah.]
