Jesus fuck, I'm so tired.
Even after sleeping for a whole nine hours [thanks to the wonderful world of pharmaceuticals] I still feel drained.
Yesterday was hellish, let's count the ways: an all-night bus trip + three traffic jams, one of which lasted FOUR HOURS [to cover something like 20 miles. Grrr] + a very intense business meeting + too much time spent getting rained on [who wants to start the bets as to when I'm gonna start feeling the inevitable flu effects? Today? Tomorrow? Pick!] + unpacking, regular work #1 stuff, etc.
BUT! There's possible good things coming my way re: work [everyone, fingers crossed!] and I woke up today to my Doctor Horrible DVD being delivered so I'm tired but optimist. [Alternately, the world might be ending. Heh.]

Campinas trip recap, because I need to write down this stuff or my head will explode:
Friday
. I took the 0:32am bus to São Paulo, got there around 7:30am thanks to extreme traffic; arrived in Campinas around 9:30am.
. Instead of doing the logical thing and sleeping off the trip, I spent most of the day raiding through Marcele's collection of downloaded TV so I could copy pretty much every single show in existence. I can has so much new crap to watch, it's fantastic! *g*
. Marco totally ditched work in the afternoon and I spent most of the day being amused by M&M annoying each other.
. Marcia & Clarabela arrived in the evening so that the funtimes could begin!
. Which means we ate a bunch and talked a lot and then Marcele, Clara & I watched some T:TSCC because we're all kind of in love with Cameron and it's the first time IN AGES we have a common stupid show to love.
Saturday
. BATTLESTAR GALACTICA OMFG I HAVE SO MUCH TO SAY ABOUT IT BUT AT THE SAME TIME I MAY BE TALKED OUT ALREADY.
. dricks came from Sorocaba to Campinas so we could meet. Spent the day at the mall -- Outback ['cause we're so creative!], bookstores, Starbucks, dessert place, you know, the whole works.
. We forced Marcia to get caught up with BSG because we wanted to talk about it without having to resort to cryptic comments. :)
. Then we went out for pizza. Best way to end a day ever y/y?
Sunday
Spent the whole day out --
. arts & crafts fair
. supermarket run
. Lebanese restaurant OMFG delicious.
. walking around the local park
. ice cream parlor
. hot dogs + mango vodka almost!smoothies + a whole lot of dessert for dinner. While watching Doctor Horrible up to "So they Say" only because yes.
And then we watched a bunch more BSG and everyone got caught up and Marco, Clarabela & I spent half the night trying to figure out what's next on the show. I have the four pages of a notebook that I filled [the morning after] to prove it. Too bad it's mostly in Portuguese or I could scan it in lieu of a recap/review/spec thing.
Monday
. Slept at lot
. Marcele & Marcia made the most delicious lunch of Caesar salad, broccoli rice and salmon with caper sauce. Yum.
. Then in the evening we went to the D. Pedro mall and walked around some 4 hours and I'm so happy that this time around I only bought one single book! Yay for consumerism restraint!
. Spent half the night watching RILLY AWFUL music videos on MTV, because sleepiness equals ridiculousness levels being raised to maximum. Yes, we could go to sleep instead, but where's the fun in that? *g*
Tuesday
. Best "let's take everything out of the fridge and turn it into a meal" lunch I've had in FOREVER! Super-super salad + hot dog pie = win!
. Really, we spent pretty much the entire day in front of the TV watching the Inauguration and saying Obama-Adama-Obama-Adama-Obama really fast for as long as we could go without breathing. We think we're very funny.
. Then it was coming back home; the girls around 6pm and myself around 8pm, to the events already described in the beginning of this post. Oh, the circle of life.

In other news, I already have plans for another trip this coming weekend because apparently I've managed to acquire myself a busy social calendar. Hee.
In other other news, tatileite is in town and coming here *right now* so we can watch the Oscar noms [which will be out in about 10 minutes] and have lunch. Yay!
