I've been twittering like crazy but I guess I never posted here that I've been in Fortaleza since last Friday? Well, hi, greetings from sunny warm way too hot land!

In a nutshell, here's what I've been up to --

Friday
. Left Rio in the morning, landed in Natal around lunch, met let_it_bia waaay too quickly for lunch & catching up [I *will* go back to Natal mid-2009, oh yes], flew to Fortaleza around 4pm, got to my mom's around 6pm local time. Pizza, lots of gift wrapping and then I crashed because OMFG airports are tiring.

[I suffer from pre-flight anxiety, which is kinda ridiculous, but true. Flying doesn't bother me at all, but I get really antsy and stressed and uuuugh right before I hop on a plane. My neck hates me for that.]

Saturday
. Clothes shopping @ an outlet mall, oh yay, score. I was totally in need of Summery clothes and now I can has them!
. Lunch at Geppo's [salmon with a quinoa crust = bestest food in the universe, ever!]
. Vegged out at home + configured my mother's new computer + ate way too much chocolate. I love you, Lindt!

Sunday
. Slept in!
. Sushi for lunch, yum. [Sad but truestory: food here is mostly cheaper and tastier than back home. Yay! that I'm here now, but generally, WOE.]
. Did the tourist-y thing and went to the arts & crafts fair. There's a slight possibility we bought half of it. Heh.
. Dinner at Geppo's, because we seriously love that place + had a bunch of crazy flavored fruity ice cream at an awesome old school-type ice cream parlor.

Today
. Had to deal with some work crap in the morning + some documents my phone provider asked me to mail them and I totally didn't before I left.
. Ventured the mall to buy some last minute gifts my mother forgot to buy. Am going back home with a bag bigger than Santa's, I'm telling you.
. Came back home, worked most of the afternoon.
. Went to the supermarket and bought SO MUCH FOOD for just two people -- Christmas dinner is gonna be made of WIN.

I have no plans to go to the beach and I'm surprisingly fine with it. It's weird!sea season anyway.

And I'm off to watch The Lost Treasure of the Grand Canyon, which has potential to be the worst movie ever made, but Daniel Jackson and Brenda Walsh traipsing around playing archaeologists = MUST SEE in the book of Tissa. Oh yeah.

chocolate, christmas, weekend, materialism yay!, movies: bad movies make tissa cry, all my friends are fuck-ups, foodstuff, i might be insane, fortaleza
