1. Maurren! ♥ ♥ ♥ OMG so fucking incredibly cool. First Brazilian woman to EVER win a Track & Field gold medal! And after all that happened in her life in the past five years, TOTALMENTE EXCELENTE doesn't even begin to cover it. ♥ ♥ ♥
[But the best part was that the TV cameras caught a phone call between Maurren and her three year old daughter and the little girl said "but mom, I wanted the silver medal!" OH, KIDS. Heeee.]
2. I'd really like to know who was the bright person who decided to have The Killer's All These Things I've Done feature in one of the new Nike ads. Because while I know he's singing I got soul but I'm not a soldier ALL I CAN HEAR is I got sober I'm not a soldier. Which totally doesn't fit the legends-of-the-Olympics vibe going on there.
3. So apparently, in Hair Dye Universe, when you use a LIGHT brown color in your MEDIUM brown hair, the result is ALMOST BLACK zomg. It's a lucky thing my current skin tone can handle the blackness. Still, please allow me the horrible pun: this is SO not Raven!
4. I bought this USB remote control [and a bunch of other cheap crap from the same store] on a whim and OH HAI IT TOTALLY WORKS with VLC and man, this is the best thing EVER. *geeks out big time*

In other news, Iron Man Special Edition = September 19 in these parts of the planet. And I'm totally breaking my own rule of not buying new releases. THE THINGS YOU MAKE ME DO, RDJ!
