1. SG-1's There But for the Grace of God was on Skiffy earlier this evening and it made me consider another thing I loved about Continuum. I've never understood in TBFTGOG why the hell AU!General Jack [and Doctor Sam and Catherine as well] didn't tell Daniel to go to fuck himself and dialed the Beta site and saved everyone. Daniel's "The Jack O'Neill that I know would do it." has always struck me as 1. a pretty stupid thing to say considering the blatant differences in that reality and 2. OMFG the arrogance!
[Arrogance which Teal'c then mirrors in POV when he kills his AU counterpart. "Ours is the only reality of consequence" my ass. This is probably the reason why I love McKay and Mrs. Miller so much -- when Rod comes up all hey, you guys are unfolding the realms of my universe, please to be stopping NOW -- that's probably my very favorite moment of all S3. YES, there are consequences for other realities. Actually, I like this about Ripple Effect as well: evil!SG-1's actions were screwing up with everyone's realities.]
I mean, sure, if they hadn't saved Daniel then the show wouldn't go past S1 but boy, was that heavy handed. And then there was that scene with Landry in Continuum telling Sam and Cam and Daniel that NO THEY CANNOT CHANGE THE TIMELINE because hi, could you guys be more arrogant? I've never liked Landry one bit, EVER, but that scene made me love him for a little while.

2. I got myself new luggage, all red and pretty [minus the medium-sized suitcase that I ended up not getting] and I can't wait to use them [later this week when I go to Campos].
3. Ever since I got cable TV in my bedroom, I've been listening to less music. That is a sad horrible fact that I need to revert soon. Except the Olympic Games will mostly happen in the middle of the night for moi and there I go watching more television in bed what with SporTV going all five-channels-all-live-all-the-time.
4. Today's xkcd = ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ The alt-text is even better. [Also, traveling shenanigans made me miss one last week and now it's on my top #5 favorite xkcd EVER. Heeeeee.]
5. I've been watching Charlie Jade because I can't resist anything that has the words alternate and reality together in their description. I'm only up to episode 5 and I'm liking it, though I'm more confused than amazed so far. But I like being confused so that's all right. *g*
6. The Whedon family has been talkative lately: Joss on movies, Zack on Captain Hammer.
