taking numbers never made sense anyway

I'm pretty sure my 3-year old motherboard is dying OF OLD AGE. Gah. Stupid disposable computers. Still, it'll have to do for at least another couple of months, when I'll have money to buy a new one. Until then, opening the CPU and fiddling with random memory/video/network cards until it works becomes a daily chore. Joy.

[It also probably doesn't help that I've decided to download two huge-ass 10GB public torrents this week. I R SMRT.]

...

Today's Garfield is six times funnier when Stargate has eaten your brain:

*giggles insanely*

...

Here, have some twee happy a-do-ra-ble girly music:

She and Him - Volume One
Folksy twangy lovely tunes. Of notice: She = Zooey Deschanel. Him = M. Ward.
And they get several bonus points for the covers of You Really Got a Hold on Me and I Should Have Known Better.
[PS: this album hasn't been officially released yet. March 18 is the date.]

:boy insert:

[M. Ward solo: Carolina | So Much Water | Poor Boy, Minor Key]

/boy insert

The Ditty Bops - [self titled]
Swing-y bluegrass-y indie-y girly americana!
[PS: on a personal note, Wake Up is my default Winamp alarm clock song, because I am THAT MUCH of a dork. *g*]

St. Vincent - Marry Me
St. Vincent is Annie Clark, multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter who's toured with Sufjan Stevens and The Polyphonic Spree.
[PS: also, she likes Midlake and named this album after Arrested Development. Seriously, what's not to like?]

Casey Dienel - Wind-Up Canary
Pretty pianos and kick-ass smart lyrics. What else do you need, really?
[PS: as of January '08, Casey Dienel = White Hinterland. Because indie solo artists need a nom de plume or else they lose their indie stars. This is all Cat Power's fault.]

All files on my server: right-click-save-as, comment if you download, if you suddenly develop a massive crush on Zooey Deschanel, you can blame it on me.
