Basically, my life revolves around Stargate.
1. Watched about 3 seconds of the Oscars last night to confirm I can't look at Ellen without wanting to kill myself, so I settled for a rerun of The Fifth Element while my father rambled about Australopithecus and how he likes the Precambrian Era A LOT better than anything that came after it and it's my own fault for buying him A Brief Story of Almost Everything. Now I get to hear ALL about Mendel and fruit flies for the next couple of months. Heh.
2. Am behind on every single TV show EVER. The last thing I watched was Battlestar Galactica's The Woman King two weeks ago [OH, HELO!]. Have to catch up with *everything* that aired after that. Groan.
3. Okay, so the reason I'm that far behind is that before I went to the beach I spent every non-working waking hour watching SG-1. I finished S8 [OMG THREADS! MOEBIUS! AAAH! PERFECTEST ENDING EVER!] and then stopped because I'm now stalling verily because I REALLY am dreading an SGC in which Jack O'Neill isn't there every day to make me Sam happy in the pants. And not even the fact that I love Ben Browder to itty bitty pieces is helping much in that matter.
4. I spent the past 4 days in Campos re-watching most of seasons 2-4 while Marcele was watching it for the first time. Remember when I said I didn't think I'd reach the SGA level of brain-eating craziness? WELL. I stand corrected. I love SG-1 about SEVENTEEN BILLION TIMES MORE than I've ever loved Atlantis. YES.
[To the point where I'm actually so very annoyed at SGA and its complete lack of any sort of meaningful character development -- especially in comparison to the first 3-4 seasons of SG-1 -- and I could rant a mile and a half about it but I won't because I'd rather watch more SG-1 instead. *g*]
