let the good times roll, let the good times roll

1. FELIZ ANIVERSÁRIO, MARCIA! *joga confete em cima* Êeeee, dezessete anos! *g* Quando vai ter festa, moça? Preciso te entregar seus presentes [o meu e o de Marcele]! :)

2. I seem to have made-up with Submarino. They sent me a nice discount coupon and since most everything was on sale, I managed to get Futurama S2, a few movies [The Company, Nochnoi Dozor, Disney's Alice in Wonderland SE and Beetlejuice, because I do plan on having every movie Tim Burton directed even if Michael Keaton is on them. Except for that Planet of the Apes disaster that I pretend never happened. Ew.] and 3 CDs [Jenny Lewis and the Watson Twins and both Andrew Bird's Bowl of Fire records]. And they delivered in 24 hours, so. NICE.

3. I changed my screen resolution to 1152x864 and everything looks so tiny and sharp and PRETTY! Why haven't I done this before? [Of course, hello most certain astigmatism in the near future. Well. At least I don't have an LCD, or I'd be blind already. *g*]

4. I've got a torrent stuck at 56.9% for the past 3 days. Annoying.

5. So now that I'm done with SGA, I'm thinking I'll watch The Invisible Man. Marcele and I half-watched the pilot the other day and it's such a PRETTY show with such a silly premise that I kind of really need to see it. :)

6. Anyone knows of a freeware[adware?] FLV-to-AVI converting software they can rec me? I'd really appreciate it.

...

In 2006, I:
. Had the highest high [ OMGSWAY] and the lowest low [skipped the last 2 eps] concerning my feelings for Veronica Mars. Still riding the lows, unsure of the future. Fact: my S2 DVDs finally got here last week and I haven't even opened them. Huh.

. Have gone back to my genre roots in a way that I feared was not gonna happen again ever since Buffy was canceled. Still, it's good to have it back. Especially when I get shows like Eureka out of the deal.

. Almost gave up on Battlestar Galactica in the beginning of the year, but they managed to win me right over once S3 started.

. Decided Gilmore Girls is dead to me.

. Felt giddy with joy at the idea of a new Aaron Sorkin show. And while I see the problems people have with Studio 60, the fact that Sorkinese is being spoken on current television makes me very happy.

. Hated pretty much every pilot of the new season. Felt validated when a bunch of them got canceled.

. Hated Heroes. Don't wanna have anything to do with it, EVER. Nor with anything related to JJ Abrams, ever again. Ew.

. Fell in love with a procedural in a way I didn't think was possible. And yet, I love Bones more than words can say.

. Fell out of love with Prison Break.

. Gave Supernatural another chance, though I'm pretty sure my reasons for watching it are completely different than the rest of the fandom. Heh.

. Tried to watch The Office several times. Hated it every time. Hate everyone else in the world for loving it. Okay not really, but you get the point.

. Didn't fall in love with David Tennant. Liked Torchwood better than Doctor Who.

. Got so sucked into Stargate Atlantis I fear I might have problems going back to the regular TV season that comes back next week.

. Watched the best pilot I've ever seen in my entire life. I need The Black Donnellys on my TV RIGHT NOW.
All in all an interesting fandom year. Hopefully 2007 will be better. :)
