I didn't really watch the Oscars because a trip that usually takes 3.30-4 hours ended up taking SEVEN HOURS WTF??? and I got home too late too hungry too exhausted. So all I saw was the Robert Altman's homage, which lasted the exact time it took me to have 2 slices of pizza. Then I crashed. No pun intended.
Looking at the results this morning, I gotta say that I called every single one of the main awards, except the Best Picture one. Which... heh. Crash didn't say much to me [I've watched Amores Perros, thankyouverymuch], but then again, these are the folks who gave Titanic [worst.movie.EVER,
Q.E.D.] 476,785 bald men, so what the fuck to they know?
Still, looking at the nominees list, this is by far the very best collection of moving pictures I've seen in a really long time [with the exception of Hustle & Flow], and in the middle of so much crap [i.e. Hustle & Flow], it just makes me hopeful about what these guys will come up with next.
P.S.: It amuses the hell out of me that out of the 5 nominated directors, the only one that has a 100% ratio of awesomely awesome perfect OMG LOVE! movies is George Clooney. *g*
P.P.S.: I'm still getting a kick out of the fact that Michelle Williams took Busy Phillips to every.single.award this season, and that Busy was seating *front row* at the freaking Oscars. Hee!

I'm in love with Shadow. Stupid Neil Gaiman and his stupid perfect-for-me characters that don't exist in real life.
