The other day I deleted about 1GB of music from my computer. Everything that sounded even remotely like Green Day, Fall Out Boy or any other one-note-only emo guitar band has been purged from my life. Oh, blissful noiseless joy. :)
Random Music Dump!
From the awesomely good
Look Both Ways soundtrack:
.
Lisa Miller - Eleven .
The Arlenes - Lonely Won't Leave Me Alone [this is a cover, but I can't figure out who recorded it first. Country music is confusing.]
.
The Waifs - Lighthouse.
Xavier Rudd - Let Me Be.
Clare Bowditch - Human Being Musiquinha brasileira da boa:
.
Los Hermanos - Condicional [Dudes. My Intro to Film Language T.A. directed this song's music video. Weird!]
.
Paulinho Moska - Amores Possíveis [from the
Amores Possíveis soundtrack]
.
Lirinha - O Amor É Filme [from the
Lisbela e o Prisioneiro soundtrack]
.
Zeca Baleiro - Telegrama [Best. Rhymes. Ever!]
.
Marina Lima - Dois Elefantes [When I was 11, I was obsessed with this song. Actually, the whole album it comes from. Now I don't even like Marina anymore. But I still like this song. Hee.]
Right.click.save.as, comment if you download, don't chicken out on the Brazilian stuff just because you don't speak the language.

Movies I've watched lately:
.
Thumbsucker. Twee movies rule my world. And when the soundtrack kicks ass and Keanu Reeves gives one heck of a funny performance, then I know everything is right with the Universe.
.
Match Point. Woody Allen is fucking nuts and he rips off Dostoevsky and makes awesome movies and I don't know who I adore the most, JRM or Scarlett Johansson. LOVE!
.
Hustle & Flow. Surprise movie at the Marathon, why OH why didn't they show something else? Gah. Oooh, I'm a pimp and a drug dealer but I have a heart. Ooooh, I write really really awful music about the fact that I'm a pimp and a drug dealer but I have a heart. Then shit happens and this crap of a movie is made WHY? BAD BAD BAD! I'm just happy I watched it sitting beside Tati and she kept cracking jokes.
There was another movie at the
Marathon [it's my job and I link it if I want to *g*], but I erased that from my memory. Or, I wish I did. *groans*

I should watch the latest VM and BSG, which I haven't yet [true story: I forgot there was a VM ep to watch. Hee!], but MTVLab is on and I can't resist them. I mean. When they play Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Kings of Leon, Los Hermanos, The White Stripes and The Black Crowes one right after the other, HOW CAN I LEAVE IT?
:)
