I fell out of bed waaay too early because cable guy was here to replace my modem for a newest model and gyaaah. The fact that he is absolutely cute didn't even register because OMGsleepy. Just kick in, new extra-strong coffee blend that I paid 3 extra bucks for!
...
Okay, now I think I'm definitely done with the
new layout. It's been over 12 hours since I meddled with it anyway. But I managed to get everything I wanted the way I wanted and didn't settle for anything LJ threw at me, even when I couldn't figure out the coding with logic and started replacing random shit for even randomer crap [not to mention the little dots all over the place, which I still haven't decided if are pretty or o.c.d.]. But hey, it worked.
[Now if only I'd get used to it about *right now* would be AWESOME. And I still wonder why my layouts last for years.]
In the end, I'm just glad this is not an assignment and no one will grade my overrides or something. *g*
Because goddamn, my code is ugly. You know, I still have some leftover envy of those elegant programmers that look at code and make it all clean and simple. Unfortunately, that's not me. I? I cheat. I realized sometime into the second week of Computer Science School that if it worked, I couldn't care less about the neatness of the code.
Which is why I gave up that as a career sometime into the third week of Computer Science School.
Apropos? CSS hierarchy 1000000, Tissa 1. But I got what I wanted, so you lose. Stupid hierarchy crap. ANARCHISTS OF THE WORLD, UNITE!
... I think the extra-strong coffee has just kicked in.
:)
ETA: And I just saw that my top menu isn't showing properly on IE. BAH. Except, who am I kidding? I couldn't care less. Hee. Everyone knows IE is CSS illiterate and outdated and a safety hazard and if you're still using it, well... sucks to be you.
