This is possibly the most inappropriate movie to be watching on Christmas. Hee. ;)
The world smells like chicken roast and farofa [sorry, I can't translate that -- I don't think people eat farofa anywhere but here]. Really. There's nothing cooking at Dad's place, but I'm quite certain every house around us is roasting a bird. I can smell it all over. Yum.
Plans for the weekend include a big Christmas supper at my grandparents tonight followed by Christmas lunch here tomorrow. And I'm helping cook none of it, because when I'm here I'm back to "children" status and we're not supposed to do anything but show up pretty, eat and open presents.
Which, hey, completely fine by me. *g*
The presents I ordered haven't gotten here yet, and though I still have a teeny tiny hope they will this afternoon, they'll probably be here on Monday. Stupid Americanas.com and their stupid inability to ship stuff timely.
But I have turned into an optimistic [stop snickering, Clara!] and will think of it as a good thing: when people think they are done with the gift unwrapping, here I come bringing more materialistic joy to their hearts. Oh yeah.
Now I'm off to wake Marina up so we can head to grandma's. Have a great Christmas Eve, everyone! I'll try and check in tomorrow for the gift gloating count. *g*
