* I mean. I've read enough of Rob Thomas' stuff to know that he thinks normal is CRAP.
As much as this "Normal" storyline might bore me, I've been hit by enough anvils this season to know that normal doesn't really exist on this show and Veronica is in serious denial about things. I think this is going to be one of those storylines that I'll appreciate more in hindsight when she finally pulls out of it because I know she'll finally be over trying to return to her past. It doesn't mean it's something I'm necessarily going to enjoy watching as it's happening, which is kind of a bummer.
Luckily, I liked the scenes with Keith/Alicia, Veronica/Kendall, The Casablancas, Veronica/Lamb, and, obviously, Logan. At least in this episode, they gave me other things to keep me occupied while I sat through the Normal-fest.

That is *exactly* what I'm thinking. I understand why RT thinks this storyline is necessary. Mostly 'cause I don't see any other way for Veronica to grow right now -- she's got to get rid of her past demons somehow, if you allow me the cliché. And it's not a bad way to create conflicts to feed at least half a season worth of narrative. It's just a little bit predictale, but I can deal with that if [when?] it pays off in the end.
But yeah, I too wish I could enjoy it as it's going on.

Oh yeah. I'm really liking the parts of the plot that don't concern Veronica's personal woes. And everything Logan. :)
I think it could be enjoyable to watch on DVD because it'd be over quickly. Right now it's weeks upon weeks of having to put up with a Veronica who might be a nice girl, but she's not someone I find interesting enough to watch on TV. I swear, if I'd started watching in season 2 I'd have quit after the second episode.
This why I envy you getting into Felicity again with the entire season at your disposal. 2x03-2x09 = UGH but you could probably fly through it in an afternoon if you wanted to. :)
Heh, I have 2x04 on in the background right now. Can I just say that I really dislike Noel at the start of this season, and his attitude is the reason I never ever wanted them back together?
Also, I was looking for caps, and I found a site with caps from all the episodes and they were all the wrong aspect ratio! I did find another one with DVD caps, but only for a few episodes. Sucks to be me.
You know, if Veronica and Duncan don't break up during November sweeps... I can't even imagine that scenario, it's what I've been betting on since the before the season started. But what if they're together over the Christmas hiatus? Oh man, that would not be fun. 'Cause then it'd probably have to wait for February sweeps. *clings to last vestiges of hope*
Actually, I'm not sure. Last time I asked Teri she didn't have a confirmed number on anyone but JD, I think. And the fact that I asked her means that I'm more than willing to find out.
Lately, I've heard rumors of TD being in 11 episodes, but before that it was always 16, so...
Yeah, I'm guessing TD is only in 12 episodes or so [I've heard that enough times now to believe it].
While he's dating Veronica, he's gonna be in ALL episodes. That'll probably make the 8 eps 'til the end of the November sweeps. That leaves him only 4 more episodes to go. My theory: the big break up will happen either in the last ep of the sweeps or in the first one in January. Then he'll go away [to his parents'? Not like I care *g*], and possibly come back for one or two episodes in the end of the season.
...when Veronica and Logan will be together [or on the way to], and she's gonna have to choose once again. This time differently. :)
Yeah, that makes sense. But if he's only going to be in a few more episodes after the breakup I was thinking that he might be killed. Because not being in almost half the season? Sounds a lot like being written off to me. And I think that would have to occur after a breakup because otherwise this current storyline will have been entirely useless a character development tool. Well, I suppose it could happen after Veronica's had certain revelations but hasn't had time to act on them...
And then we get a third season, and Teddy Dunn doesn't have to be on it because Duncan is Ivy League material, and Ivy League = East Coast. But Logan barely goes to school these days, so he won't go to college, and will stay in Neptune, where Veronica will also be, because, duh, she has to.
Hey, as long as we're doing the wishful thinking thing...
That's why sometimes tv is better in marathons. Depending on how this all goes, it can be a good storyline if it's over in a few hours, but for months? Boring.
And you often overlook bad storylines because they're over quickly. Too bad I don't have the patience to wait for shows to come out on DVD. Though, come to think of it, that could be a way of picking up stuff like 24, that I just sort of abandoned...
