God, I'm tired.
But have things to look foward to. Meaning Breakfast on Pluto on Tuesday and Brokeback Mountain on Thursday. Whee!
Ah, favorite directors, how I love it that the Festival management+programming crew happen to love you too. *g*
Seriously, I've seen every single movie Neil Jordan directed after 1997 at the Rio Movie Festival. He's one of my Fest rituals [along with Ken Loach -- OMG LOVE! -- eating apples every.single.day and re-reading Snow Crash /dork].
Another constant is Ewan McGregor [I even saw Desserts at the 1998 Fest]. Which brings me to the fact that I watched Stay last week. Eh. Didn't much like it -- too music-video-y epileptic cameras, not enough plot for me to care about it. And now I'm back to thinking Finding Neverland was a glitch and the truth is I reallyreallyREALLY don't like Marc Forster's movies.
Also, everyone should watch
Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang. Of course, I'll watch everything Robert Downey Jr. is in, but really. *g* Awesomely cool movie that neverEVER takes itself seriously and mocks Hollywood in the best possible way. Even Val Kilmer, whom I usually despise, is great in it. It opens for you USAers in a couple of weeks, I think. Don't miss it.
Okay. Lunch, then back to work. Only 4 and a half days to freedom. *starts countdown*
