1. I finally caved in and pre-ordered HBP online [20$ discount coupons are handy that way]. Decided I really don't want to deal with hordes of fans and waiting lines next Friday. I doubt I'll have the book before Tuesday or Wednesday, but that's fine. HP has lost most of its luster for me anyway.
2. I've resumed my West Wing watching this week, and I'm up to 6.16 now. The structure of S6 reminds me of Farscape S3, what with every other episode pertaining to an specific spaceship storyline. Am kinda dreading to go on [and S7 too], because I don't want to watch that universe without the President and Leo comanding it all [OMG I LOVE THEM SO MUCH].
An interesting thing is that I've always thought both Jimmy Smits and Teri Polo were mediocre actors, and now I kinda like them. Hee.
Re: Josh/Donna - and I thought I had seen it all with Mulder and Scully. Jesus Fucking Christ, just make out already. GAH.
3. Spent a couple of hours today tagging every LJ post I made in 2003. Reading one's journal becomes very boring very quickly, but I shall persevere. And I hope to have every single post tagged by the end of next week. See, I'm goal!girl.
4. Volleyball World League finals this weekend. OMG ANGST. Brazil beat Serbia & Montenegro this afternoon, but that game didn't matter much. Semifinal against Cuba tomorrow though. Ack.
5. I'm the last person in the world to have watched Batman Begins, but I finally did on Wednesday.
I liked it a lot, but one thing annoyed me too much for it to be love: Liam Neeson. Who didn't convince me for one second as Evil Overlord. Also, most cliché scene ever when the villain spills the beans on his world domination plans and then "kills" our reluctant hero. Except the hero's not dead and now he knows how to beat the bad guy. Gyah. And the script was going SO WELL up 'til that point.
But feel completely justified in having been in love with Christian Bale ever since I was 10 years old and he was on Empire of the Sun. Which I watched about 200 times while growing up. And let's not mention the fact that I've watched every single movie he's made ever since. Except for that one with the dragons and Matthew McConaughey that Rob Bowman directed, because... NO. But I sat through torturous viewings of The Portrait of a Lady and Captain Corelli's Mandolin, so it cancels it out. *g*
And I almost want to watch the English!dubbed version of Howl's Moving Castle just to hear Howl speak with Christian's voice. Sigh. [BTW, August 5 is the Brazilian release. AT LAST.]
Also? Everyone should watch
El Maquinista.
6. Cillian Murphy is waaay too pretty.
