HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TEIJA!
First and foremost, I adore my friends. And I wish we all lived in the same city, because these weekend meetings are too far and few. ::hopes hopes hopes that
marcele,
silu and Sabrina get the jobs they applied for in Rio::
Movies yesterday with most of the gang. Hero and Constantine.
Hero has the prettiest colors [it's like Peter Greenaway married Ang Lee!], even if the story is kinda blah. Well, it could've turned melodrama, but it didn't, so that was nice. Have realized this is the first time EVER I see a Jet Li movie. Hee. I am such a snob.
Constantine was nicer the second time around. I think the first time I saw it I had PMS or something. Still, Marcele and I have long ago decided that Paul Bettany should've been cast instead of Keanu, but aside from the overuse of slow motion, I had some mindless fun for a couple of hours without being insulted by asinine dialogue. And that's always a bonus.
Today was lazy and fun. And we ate chicken with passion fruit juce and coconut milk and
andreh and I should be chefs, I'm telling you. We rock the kitchen like WHOA.
All around, an awesome weekend that just turn craptastic in the last hour or so [problems buying Placebo tickets and my football team losing the first fucking game of the finals. GRRRR].
But I am Zen and I'll play pretty songs and go read my flist and Rats Saw God and eat hot corn bread with butter.
P.S. Have decided I am in complete love with Bradley Whitford. This happens because the WB has been reruning all of The West Wing and I've been watching it religiously every night for the past month or so. Need to buy the S1-S2-S3 DVDs, which are available here, but I also need to buy the X-Files S4-S5-S6-S7 DVDs and I kinda sorta should buy those first, 'cause, you know, 12 years of loving it and all.
One day I'll be rich and won't have to make Sofia's choices about anything.
