A little PSA.
You can ban people from commenting in your LJ without actually having to wait for them to comment. Just go to the admin console [you have to be logged on, obviously], and use the following command:
ban_set username
Just substitute 'username' for, well, the username of the person you want to ban.
The best part of it? Their username disappears from your Friends Of list.
You also can ban people from communities you manage:
ban_set username "from" community
Again, substitute the username and 'community' for the name of your community.
It's painless and quick and gives you instant relief against trolls.
