Well, I'm now Mrs. Beyer :) I rather enjoy saying that and hearing other people say it. :) I'm still definitely getting used to it and its going to take me quite a while before I finally get used to people calling me Janelle Beyer and introducing myself as Janelle Beyer. I love being a wife. :) I've been really spoiled over the past 2 weeks, having Christopher around 24/7, but now that we're back from our honeymoon, he's back to work and he works something like 60 hours this week so he's gone a lot. I miss him while he's gone, but I still love being his wife and the fact that he comes home to ME every night. :)
The wedding was wonderful and so much fun! It couldn't have been more perfect - nothing went wrong (at least not that I know of) and I wouldn't have changed a single thing! Thank you so much to everyone who was involved and everyone who helped out and just everyone who was a part of our special day!
The honeymoon was amazing! We left Monday night/Tuesday morning (we had a red eye flight that left at 12:30am) for Jamaica and spent 6 nights at the Sandals Dunn's River Resort. It was PERFECT! It was an all-inclusive resort where you paid your costs up front when you booked and then you didn't have a pay a dime once you got there! The employees are not allowed to take tips, so you didn't have to worry about that. The food was amazing and unlimited! We had 4 course meals every night for dinner and it was incredible! The drinks were also unlimited and free and I have a newfound love for strawberry daqueris :) The only things you EVER had to pay for were souveniers (if you wanted them) and if you wanted to do any tours or excursions while you were there (suba, snorkeling, boat tours, ATV tours, etc.). We got some souveniers but we didn't do any excursions - we were too happy just to lounge around at the pool and just relax with each other. We also met a few really fun couples while we were there that we would go to dinner with hang out and visit with at the pool and such.
The second half of our honeymoon was spent in Lincoln City at Devil's Lake, camping with Christopher's family. We had a blast! It was great just to relax, play cards, read and spend time together and with family. Even though it rained most of the time, we still had a lot of fun. We went to Newport one day too, and it was the one day that was absolutely gorgeous weather! :)
We got back from camping yesterday (Sunday) afternoon and just relaxed yesterday and most of today, then Chris went to work this evening. I haven't started working yet and I'm not quite ready to start studying for my licensing exams yet (I have some other loose ends to tie up first), so I've just been hanging out and reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince while he's at work. I wanted to refresh my memory and re-read book six before I started Deathly Hallows, so Chris got to read it first. :) So nobody tell me what happened because I haven't read it yet! :) I'm over half way done with book six, so I'm hoping Christopher is done with book 7 by the time I'm ready for it. :) I'm sure he will be, though, he's a fast reader and is already a good portion through it. Although with all the work he's doing this week, we'll see. :)
Since the Order of the Phoenix movie came out while we were in Jamaica, we saw it last week while we were in Lincoln City and I really enjoyed it. Sure, they left out a lot, but they were bound to - it was an 870 page book! You can't put that much material into a 2 1/2 hour movie! Anyway, I thought it was great and I was definitely entertained - I look forward to seeing it again.
I still haven't seen Transformers, but I really want to - but I don't think I'll end up seeing that until it comes out on video just because of how busy Christopher is and hey - we are newlyweds :)
Anywho...so life in general is wonderful. I have an amazing husband who loves me and takes wonderful care of me and I don't have too many demands on my time right now, so I'm just able to relax for a little bit before the hard work starts. :) Hope you are all well.
