Once again, I can't see these pictures. This has been happening a lot, no matter what browser or computer I use. Is it set to public?

I ran into the same thing when I made a post elsewhere last week. Now you have to not only make sure the album is set to public, but each individual picture as well! To add to the idiocy, when you make the post as you add the pictures they only give you the "friends" or "private" choice, so unless you load the photos in you scrapbook first, click on them individually to change each one to public and THEN enter them in a post, no one can see them.

Honestly, it's like LJ wants to drive even more people away.

That sounds quite awful.
I usually upload them into Photobucket. Never had any problems there. Just an idea?
They provide links to post in either forums (with the IMG tag) or here on LJ (with the HTML tag)

I always used to use Photobucket, but started using my LJ scrapbook when someone started pinching my personal photos. I may have to re-think.

I gotta say, annoying as the picture security problem was, Scrapbook beats Photobucket for ease of saving pictures to my own computer. Scrapbook I can just right-click and save; with Photobucket I have to click through to the page in the "bucket", then click through to the original. (Big pain in the butt especially on fandom icon posts where I just want to save a bunch of them. Clicking through two pages for every-single-one I just aaaarrrgh. Sorry, rant mode off.)

I kinda feel sorry for him in that picture on the airplane, which I guess was after the con and going off to the next place he was going? I know he's always so generous and game for anything with fans but he just looks exhausted.

Photobucket irks me too, and this latest change by LJ seems to have introduced something similar.

David is very generous with his time, especially with his fans and for charity, but I'm sure he wouldn't have done that if he hadn't felt up to it. Jetting regularly across the Atlantic is bound to take its toll; I hope he gives himself a break before going on to the next project!

Also ... I guess this means that my pics are finally visible? \o/
