6 - When you write, do you prefer writing male or female characters?

Yeah, me too, and it's rather embarrassing. I had to intentionally go back and rewrite bits of 'The Price of Interference' to make Grace less 2-D.

I do, however, have a few femme-slash fics that pass the Bechdel Test. I'm particularly proud of A Girl's Gotta Do, a Jo/Ruby case-fic curtain-fic femme-slash I wrote for last year's SPN Reverse BigBang.

This question is one of the reasons I really want to do this meme, because I have a whole masturbatory self-reflective essay to write that boils down to "I prefer female characters but my subconscious knows male characters tend to be more popular so I tend to write them more anyway.

(Or maybe I'll just go with that.)

Well, hey. Self-reflective essays are more interesting (to me at least) than sheepish admissions that, hey, my internalized misogyny used to be a lot worse, okay. *g*
