Here! I keep watching this Southland clip over and over, and now you can too! My very favoritest of moments with LAPD Officers John Cooper (Michael Cudlitz) and Ben Sherman (Ben McKenzie), who are not having a great day:
I do like that scene. I also really like the one where they're talking to those drag queens who are being extorted and John Cooper's all "We're the COPS, we're here to protect you," and then once they leave Ben McKenzie's all, "Why did you lie to them? We can't do shit," and John plays it off like it was just something he said to make them feel better, but you could tell that he actually believed it and wanted it to be true.
I JUST WATCHED THE SEASON FINALE. LYDIA FUCKING ADAMS. I was kind of so-so on her character, she had a tendency to rail against the system too much and be too morally horrified when she should have been more hard-bitten and cynical (like John), but now I am all about LYDIA FUCKING ADAMS AND HER SHOTGUN OF GREAT JUSTICE.
Yes! YES. And, yeah, I guess they had to have some character be morally outraged, but how has she never run into some of this stuff before? OTOH, SHOTGUN.
