And on her eighth day in a new fandom, Dira looked around and saw that it was good, and then started plotting kidfic.

It would require me to finish the one I'm in the middle of now, first. Also I would need to figure out what happens after John stops laughing. And laughing. And laughing.

Well, yes. And that was an excellent approach! Just... Die Hard.

"Die Hard With A Toddler" is no sillier a title than "Live Free Or Die Hard."

I MEAN I DON'T THINK I WANT TO ACTUALLY WRITE IT, BUT IT MAKES FOR AMUSING MENTAL IMAGES.

The furthest I have gotten in the thought process is this: three or four years ago at a con, Matt hooked up with some girl. She wrote him off completely as "dude I hooked up with at a con" and when the awkwardly blessed event happened, she didn't even contemplate trying to track him down. He was nice enough and everything, but he was a geek boy and she didn't need two kids unexpectedly dumped into her lap.

Except then she sees the news stories about Matt Farrell, and recognizes him, and he's not such a loser after all apparently, and, well, maybe he might wanna meet his toddler.
