1. Finally finished Season 4 of Angel last night. Didn't like Connor when he was reintroduced as an angry teen. I still don't like him now that it's over. I feel, in my opinion, that the writers wrote themselves into a pigeon-hole with that character and realized there was no way out of it. Hopefully he's gone for good. I related to absolutely nothing about that character, and perhaps the actor chosen to play him as well just added to me not liking him at all. I will even go so far as to say the entire plot of Season 4 would have been just as successful (with a few little edits) is Connor had never been included in the story. There were just no redeemable qualities about him. I could go on and on. He's just a worthless character. How can so many fans hate Dawn so much when we were stiffed with a character like Connor? Whatever. End rant. Next.
2. As of Easter Sunday, I now have plane tickets to go to the New Orleans JAzz Festival with my Uncle Kevin from April 24-26. I'm excited. Might even see Robert PLant with Allyson Krauss, in addistion to Sheryl Crow and Count Basie. Very Exciting in deed.
3. My first video for Ghosts I-IV is near completion. HOpefully by this weekend you will have visuals. More videos will be sure to come as I have not been given a deadline as to when they have to be done.
Interlude: -I just caught a wiff of my own right foot, which currently smells like Axe body wash and slipper-sweat.- Next.
4. It seems Radiohead fans are becoming a bit frustrated with they way they are carrying out promotions and events with the In Rainbows album. For links to articles just ask. I'm sure Radiohead will do just fine, but really if they are now going to take cues from NIN they should at least make it cheap and iTunes-free. Oh yeah, and as many hardcore fans of Radiohead (Including my brother) were disappointed with the lack of download options and poor audio quality for "In Rainbows" you would think that they would give more options for remixing "Nude" other than merely using Garage Band which is only available to a select population. AS remarkable and forward-thinking as Radiohead seem to be (as much as I may not "get" their music) they seem to be a little behind the times now. Variety is the spice of life, and now, Next.
5. in relation to #3.... I've checked out some other fan-made videos for Ghosts I-IV and I have to ask myself... Do all NIN videos have to include dead bodies? Mutilation? Trees, nature, and grass? Creepiness? Mannequins?
I kinda worry about making sure none of my videos fit too closely into any stereotypical notion (even from the fan-based POV) of what a NIN video should be. Whatever. I don't want to judge, but I was hoping to find something clever in the rubble.
6. Oh yeah, Virgin Festival fans..... if you tend to dig the Virgin Festival (I've never been) according to the official festival website NIN is headlining along with JAck Johnson, Foo Fighters, Stone Temple Pilots. PRetty cool.
