Laughing Clowns

As a giant Ed Kuepper groupie, there was absolutely no way I was going to miss a reunion of the classic line-up of his experimental jazz-inflected post-punk outfit Laughing Clowns for the very first time since 1985. Even after the massive debacle with The Saints barely a week before. Blind faith was rewarded with a quite amazing performance that was everything in terms of quality and passion that I hoped The Saints would be, but wasn't (If that makes sense).

I also hauled along my camera, and although my shooting position was extremely poor, I was nevertheless able to grab a few nice shots. I particularly like the one of the drummer Jeffrey Wegener. It was hard to get anything close-up and decent of saxophonist Louise Elliott though. Too many tall heads in front of me. Annoying.
