Been a long time, been a long time

WOW I realised I’ve now been blogging for over a year (missed my anniversary on 25 October) and thought I’d dribble through all my old posts to check out what kind of musical soundtrack I have made myself with each entry. More often than not I’m at work posting, so it’s the song that’s running around my head at the time, not necessarily what I am playing at that moment. And they are a many and varied bunch of songs and styles, that’s for sure, check it yo:

The Cat Empire - Wanted to write a love song w Megadeth - In my darkest hour  w John Butler Trio - Home is where the heart is w Janis Joplin - Mercedes Benz w Mortal Sin - Robbie Soles w Bush - Everything’s Zen w Eurythmics - Walking on broken glass  w Nirvana - Come as you are w Savage Garden - Santa Monica w Dandy Warhols - Not if you were the last junkie on earth w The White Stripes - Jolene  w The Spazzys  w Maroon 5 (WTF? Obviously Liz’s subversive influence there)  w Regurgitator - Polyester Girl  w Ben Lee - Gamble everything for love w Led Zeppelin - Ramble on w Cat Stevens - Peace Train  w Fabienne Del Sol - I’m gonna haunt you w Dave Dobbyn - Slice of Heaven w Skid Row - 18 and life w The Cat Empire - The Lullaby  w The Cat Empire - The Sly  w The Cat Empire - Miserere (I sense a pattern, I think this was around Bluesfest time)  w Jack Johnson - Good People (Yep, definitely Bluesfest)  w Jimi Hendrix - Hey Joe w The Doors - Touch me w The Wrights - Evie w The Beautiful Girls - Blackbird w Bon Jovi - Runaway (what a classic tune) w Jamiroquai - Feels just like it should (sex on a stick)  w Hole - Malibu  w Black Eyed Peas - Don’t phunk with my heart  w Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Higher Ground  w Powderfinger - Sunsets  w Dixie Chicks - Sin Wagon  w Robbie Williams - Rock DJ (Dunno where on earth that one came from!)   w Kool & the Gang - Celebration (This one’s thanks to Roguey)  w Magic Dirt - All my crushes (I think I’d been to see Adalita the night before)   w Pete Murray - Beautiful  w Joan Jett - Bad Reputation  w Madonna - Erotica  w Spiderbait - Buy me a pony  w The Cat Empire - Sol Y Sombra  w Crowded House - Better be home soon  w Grinspoon - Chemical Heart  w Missy Higgins - The sound of white  w No Doubt - Sunday morning w "we broke, broke, broke, fi broke - we ain’t got it" (kids I have no clue who this is or what this song is called, but it is indelibly tattooed across my memories now)   w Smooth up in ya - Bullet Boys  w Alice, Alice who the fuck is Alice

So since seeing Skid Row on Video Hits last week I had to trawl through my old photos to find some of when we met them hahaha and here for my your viewing pleasure they are:
