So I realized that is has been since about forever since I updated. P.S. That's an awesome idea Jane has...I'm excited! So many things have happened in the last couple of months Kat-well came to stay for a few days, that was awesome! I dated a couple of girls very briefly, one of whom I really really like, but she needs to be more comfortable with herself before any long term relationships can happen. It's been a bit of an emotional rollercoaster with all that lately. I was considering buying a desert island for a few days there, but hopefully everything works out and all will be well.
The job is great. I earned my D pin on Monday. I am now an official guest relations castmember, and it feels absolutely amazing. I've been getting to work some candlelight processional shifts and that show is awesome. Think of it as Vespers except shorter and with a famous person narrating. It reminded me so much of Vespers the first time I heard it that I was almost longing to do Vespers....almost, but I'm still glad I get to hear it and not be in it. The christmas season is one of the busiest times for Disney so I'm sure I will be mucho stressed between now and the New Year when everyone goes home and we go into our slow season. But overall I come home from work everyday happier than when I went in, and there have only been a couple of days where I question humanity, so I think that means I love the job.
Christmas at Disney is such a beautiful time. Check out my facebook pics, I just posted a lot of pics from the hotels. Everything is overdone and beautiful, just like you think it would be coming from Disney. Also, this is my first Christmas where I won't be going home, and our whole family won't be together. My parents are coming down here, my grandparents will be here for a few days but they're driving up to Illinois to be with my aunt, uncle, cousins, and brother. So on Xmas, which I'll probably be working on, it will just be my parents and me. It all seems so strange and crazy. If I hadn't have moved down here, the whole family would be together. But we're going to make the best of it. And since christmas is at my apt/ my parents hotel room, i'm officially taking charge of festivities. I put up a tree, with a great color scheme of blue, silver, and white (check out facebook again), and while it's not the most majestic of trees, it is very cute and it turned out better than I'd planned. I'm also baking a couple of different kinds of cookies and party mix so that way it feels a little more like xmas. Most of my shopping is done already, and now it's just a matter of picking up odds and ends, and getting grandparents presents.
And now I must get ready for work, so I will catch ya all later. I miss you all lots and lots, and I wish we could all be together for xmas.
