The only bad thing about this episode was that I missed Sammy (and Bobbeh, but I hardly expect him to be in every ep). Jared probably enjoyed the time off, lol. He was probably like, "Aaaaaaaaaaaand my 30-second scene is done. Later guys, I'm off to sleep for a week and maybe pwn somebody on Guitar Hero." XD
Anyhoodle, on to the show. HOW AWESOME WAS THAT??? Mary is a hunter! Dean got his ass kicked by his MOM! But omg, Kripke, talk about finding new and creative ways to tear our hearts out. Oh, Dean. <333 Having to watch his parents' and his brother's and his own fates be sealed once again, unable to change anything. Knowing that thanks to the magic of angel-induced time travel that he himself had a hand in all of it.
Wow, John was a hottie. And omg, he was so sweet and innocent! I can't decide if he did or didn't know that Mary was a hunter. After 11/2/83, did he know where to start looking or was he clueless? I think if she did tell him - because I'm sure he wanted to know wtf was going on after he came to in her arms and her dad was lying there dead - they made a conscious decision to put it behind them and live their lives normally, that is until the fire and Mary's death. And I don't think she told him about the deal she'd made.
Wow, Azazel, you bastard. I LOVED that moment where Dean was all, "look into my eyes, you son of a bitch, I'm the one that kills you" or whatever he says right there. You could see Azazel hesitate there, just for a moment, because Dean was just so very intense right there and determined. And his conversation with Mary, telling her to promise she wouldn't get out of bed? OH MY HEART. I wonder if she remembered that, the night of the fire. If that conversation ran through her mind when she walked into Sam's room and saw who it was.
Oh, and can I just say that it is freaking awesome that DEAN was the one that convinced John to get the Metallicar? Dean and his baby, destined for each other before he was born. XD
