Dreams dreams dreams dreams..... my poor car has been taking hit after hit in real life and my dream life. At least twice it's been hit in the parking lot of my apartment complex, then had a dream that a blizzard in the UVM library's parking lot took the passenger side out completely.
And then there's the NOT dream:
Last night I got home at about 1:30 in the morning. My dog was up, waiting for me curled up in the bed of the spare room of a friends house where I'm staying while I have to pay the lease up at the old place and planning out my next move.
I fell into bed and just as I was falling asleep, my dog who had been curled up next to me bolts up and jumps off of the bed and to the center of the room. He was sitting upright, not growling, not defensive, just watching. His eyes following around the room from wall to window to the door leading to the patio, back again. Then he got up and walked toward the window, backing away again. I peeked out the window to see if someone was creeping around outside, no one there, checked the patio door to make sure it was locked, while osKar just keeps following whatever or whoever was walking around the room last night. Then I guess they left, because he curled right back up to me and went to sleep after about 10 or fifteen minutes.
There have been a couple of times where my dog and I have lived in old creepy creepy houses. One he wouldn't go in the basement, ever (and he's fairly explorative.) The other was the house I lived in when I decided that it would be better to live with me than his owner. At that one, he would look into my bedroom, every hair on his head and neck up while growling and barking. My dreams there were filled with an angry faceless man who would sit on my bed at night, and I was often woken up by osKar's barking.
So, I guess if he was freaking out last night I'd probably be moving myself to the couch pretty quickly, but he seemed calm. Almost as if he was obeying a command to sit. I told my friend and she was in no way suprised, this house is old and has many "oddities" in the form of visitors and noises at night.
Maybe if it happens tonight I'll sing the ghostbusters song to it :D
I ain't afraid of no ghost!
