Well, Friday night, Jonathon came over for dinner and a game (can't remember what it was called at this juncture). The Deacon and I EACH polished off a bottle of cheap wine, and great times were had. After Jonathon left, I headed out to the Marathon to pick up beer and smokes. Came home, got into comfy clothes and sat down with a beer and set to watching some Buffy episodes. AT around 1-2 a.m., The Deacon and I finally drifted off to sleep. Now we had discussed going to the Farmer's Market on Saturday, but by the time we got to bed, we decided to 'naturally' wake up and if it was in enough time to get to the Market, so be it.
I awoke at 10:30, leaving the snoozing Bear to his dreams. I started up watching more Buffy. At around 11 or so, our landlady's husband (the all-around fix-it guy) knocked on the door to say he'd be coming back in the afternoon sometime to fix the metal runner that goes between the kitchen and Livingroom if it was okay with us. I said "sure" and decided to wake up Deacon. We sat watching Buffy while coffee was brewing, toast toasting and had a relaxing morning (or what was left of it anyway). I ended up finishing Season Two of Buffy. (Here I would like to add that I'm am SO glad that I'm not watching this on TV...I don't think I could stand to wait the entire summer to find out what happens in Season Three.)
I started in on hanging my pictures about the walls while Deacon sat reading a book. It was quite a picture, I'm sure. 80's music on the stereo, him reading away and me adding 'home deco touches'. As the afternoon progressed, I started feeling like I was hungry (or so I thought) and decided to fix something to eat. But after awhile, my stomach still hurt, and now MORE so. I put it out of my mind as best I could, and continued on the walls. But as bedtime was nearing, my stomach was continuing to get a bit worse. I was tired, but I couldn't sleep. I finally ended up sleeping after Deacon rubbed my back a bit.
Now, Today...
I was supposed to go help Julia and Chris (so sorry guys!) move into their house. But when the alarm went off at 8:30, my stomach was still hurting...Deacon opted to shower first and let me sleep a bit longer, but then after his shower, I still was not better. He ended up leaving to help move while I slept on. At around 2 p.m., he returned only to find me just as he left me, curled up on the bed in the same place I was before. He took 'Homer' (my computer) over to Al's for some diagnostic troubleshooting (long story). I eventually (obviously) got out of bed, but I STILL feel like shit. But now my head has joined in the fun and is throbbing. I don't know if I have a 'bug' or just ate something that didn't agree. Either way, I have an interview tomorrow and hope it will clear up by then.
I HATE BEING SICK
*sigh*
