The body temperature of a Time Lord is cooler than that of a human. Jack hadn't needed to be told - he'd known from the very first clasp of the Doctor's hand, and the feel of his body when they danced close in the console room that first night Jack had come home. But when he wakes in the small hours of the night they all made love and collapsed in a heap of sweaty limbs, cool and warm twined together, he finds both Rose and himself plastered tight up against their lover, trying instinctively to warm him with the heat of their own bodies.
The Doctor doesn't seem to mind.
