Blinkenlights to the left, blinkenlights to the right
As I type this, I have been sitting on the floor of the UUNet MCI Verizon Business datacenter, surrounded by lots and lots of blinking lights for the last five hours while working on setting up our new mail server at work. My butt is being kept a comfortable 50°F from the AC vents in the raised floor.
It's kinda weird, though, being able to walk down an aisle and it being alternatingly cold (AC vent in the floor) and warm (no AC vent, and a rack of hot servers blowing air into the aisle).
And man, is it loud...
But, on the upside, I'm plugged directly into 100 mbit of bandwidth. Too bad I don't have anything worthwhile to download with that...
