jnespuxah,
grysar, and I got off to a late 8:30 am start from Ryan's current place of residence (we had originally planned on leaving at 6), and quickly made friends with I-70, which carried us most of the way to Indianapolis for GenCon.
The drive out there was fun, if mostly uneventful. We discussed a lot of random things, including Greg's new campaign ideas for a Cowboy Bebop-style futuristic game set within our solar system. I also did a bit of planning for the Sunday group. I was greatly amused by an "Exit 0" between West Virginia and Ohio. Took a picture, but it didn't turn out too well from the phone camera. Also saw a radio tower that looked like a giant tuning fork, and the top of one of the hotels in Indy looked like a taser.
We got to Indy around 4 (local time; 5 eastern), checked into the hotel, and proceeded to the convention center so Greg could get registered. When we got there, we ran into
shoggoth1 and Dave R., and chatted with them for awhile while Greg was getting his badge. Dinner at Alcatraz, then an early sleep, for there was much gaming to be had the next day!
