so to conclude an insane birthday week, i think i only missed getting one thing i really wanted: i didn't get fired today.
i work at a prominent internet company (google it if you're really interested) that laid off nearly 20% of its 10,000 workers worldwide today. the severance package included 4 months of pay and 4 months of insurance. i was pretty sad that i didn't get the axe.
i wanted to scream at upper management for thinking everyone was depressed about our coworkers getting fired. depressed? nigga are you kidding me?? we are fucking envious bordering on jealous! if i had been fired i would've been like "motherfucker, thank god i didn't ride my bike today! hand me a box dude, i gotta pack my shit! peace out!"
i would've gotten a fucking pedicab to bike my ass all 7 miles home.
