progress and aquisitions
with the end of summer present, there's been lots going on. past couple of weekends have been spent partying with jeff, rachel, becky and brandon. maggie (my LA woman) was in town, too and we all hung out one night drinking and carrying on. we even ended the night sitting in jeff's driveway like old times. brandon and i also went to a bonfire at chase's. beautiful weather and good friends. love it.
i broke down and ordered an iPod touch last week and my tracking info says it'll be here monday! mad excited. i sold my nano to a woman my mom works with so that knocked out a good chunk of my total cost. denver is two weeks away and it'll be good to have something to kill time on the plane with. i should have plenty of time to stock it up. i've been looking at getting a lomo diana+ camera, too. it's actually a "toy" camera with a plastic body and analog quirks like light leaks for max emo results. it's medium format and produces some really beautiful vignettes. there's also no shortage of film options resulting in color shifts, variable grain and saturation levels. it's not too expensive and it seems a lot easier than wrangling a holga which seems to have more difficult issues to deal with.
