I saw that new Green Day video "Wake Me Up When September Ends." I like it. I like how they are making a political statement with their music. It's like rock and roll is revolting. Green Day makes anti-war statements, System of a Down is anti-war, Eminem all-out attacked Bush headfirst, Bono went and talked to Bush himself. And don't forget the Dixie Chicks. And also Exit 47 is making statements too. That's one thing I like about this group. Chris Topor was never really interesting in making statements.
Speaking of which I saw him play yesterday. Matt Tyo wasn't there so Matt Spellman played bass and sang. And they also had a girl, Christina, who also sang. After the show, Lester Smith goes up to Topor and asks him, "So what do you call that garly sound that comes out of that instrument?" And Chris is just like, "...fuzz?" Lol.
Today we had a rehearsal with all four of us. Due to vacations, that's only occured a few times. It's going to be tough but we are going to rock Suffield On The Green. Make sure you be there. September 10th, 4:00 PM. No Cover. One hour-long set.
Tomorrow, Taryn, Lois and Brynn are leaving me.
Taryn likes Led Zeppelin. That's so awesome. This may be pushing it, but maybe she will get obsessed with Led Zeppelin and forget about Green Day for a while. Lol, like that would ever happen. For now, this is Double Z, signing off.
