Last week, I went to Thom Hannum's Mobile Percussion Seminar at UMASS. Wednesday was really hot and that day sucked. In the dorms, the air felt like pure Hydrogen. But it was crazy. We played "Oye Tu Conga" as the piece with everyone in the camp on the last day. I met up with some teachers I knew in previous years. My teacher from Berklee taught too. At the end of the week I won a Pearl T-Shirt and a Pearl 10" FireCracker Snare Drum. It's SO SWEET! It was like, the grand prize. It was so awesome. They took my picture with it and everything. Thom Hannum said I should write a letter to the Pearl Corperation thanking them for my free snare drum. Lol. Maybe I'll actually do it.
This week I'm at Goalie Camp. That sucks. It's so hard. My body is aching all the time. It's so hot. I think I'm going to pass out and die. Our position sucks. It's a tough life for a Goalkeeper. Ben Brown is at the camp though, and Ben always brings the party along. Lol.
Also, good news, I'm in a new band. This band is:
Joe Antelmi: Lead Vocals, Piano
Jim Bouchard: Bass
Josh Hirst: Lead Guitar
We jammed the other day and we were awesome. We already have like 9 original songs. Josh is a really good songwriter. And so is Joe. Jim brings the funk with his compostion. And I have a dramatic piano songs. Jim's got this crazy stage presence. Joe's got an amazing voice.
We're still undecided on a name, but we're brainstorming.
I'm so tired, so for now this is Double Z, signing off.
