I've been pretty bad about keeping up with these, which isn't great since they're just about the only thing I post here these days. On the other hand, I'm not sure if anyone other than Maggie listens to them anyway. (If you're only patient enough to play one, do the last one, since it's vastly better than the others). Here are my last several weeks of one hour compositions.
22a.
Spooky Fog - I'd already totally forgotten about this one, it's that forgettable. I think the theme was "Serial Killers in the Fog" or something like that. I realized pretty quickly that it wasn't going anywhere and started working on the following instead...
22b.
Phantasy Star II Intro - This is a pretty basic piano arrangement of the intro from Phantasy Star II. I was pretty happy with how it came out, but again, not original.
23.
Windy Peak - As the name says, the theme was "Windy Peak". This is probably one of my more on-theme compositions, but that's about the best I can say. It doesn't suck as much as some of my other songs, I guess. (Rockin' Sky Fortress, I'm looking at you!). Unfortunately, I apparently had a bunch of off key notes in here... I tried to fix them, but I'm not sure if I succeeded.
24.
Future Race - We were supposed to do a futurist racing theme, but I didn't have any ideas, so I just arranged some Metroid Themes and played them faster than normal. This one's kinda a joke entry.
25.
Ancient Times - Last week's theme was the Ancient World. I started out trying to do stuff with percussion and a flute, and it sounded terrible. I tried some stuff with a guitar and that sounded terrible too. So I decided to throw the theme out the window and just try to do a piano composition. I also was tired of hearing I was off key, and figured a piano composition in C major was something I couldn't screw up. I was pretty happy with how it turned out... it's certainly not perfect, but I think it sounds a hell of a lot better than most of the crap I produce.
