On the way to Brighton the nearer we got the more it was raining and the odd sound of Thunder was heard, it wasn't until Hove that I actually thought I hope this is not cancelled because as is typical of me I brought no phone numbers with me to ring to find out not that I know Beermat and Mindy's anyway I do however know Orddies but it is not on my mobile. Those of you who know me will not be surprised by that.
The weather did however decide to change and it became a beautiful day in Brighton even managed to walk along the pier again although my son was not too keen to be seen with me and I shall put that down to him being 16.
Wedgies looked the same on our arrival as I remembered it from 2 years ago and when we saw the others there it was as if the last 2 years did not exist it was a nice feeling to be back again. Orddie, Remmie, Meltie and his GF I heard before I saw *grin* Beermat and Mindy and others there that I did not know all having a good time.
Gave Beermat his bottle of voddie and I think he hid it from the others but his face said it all. The Chippie van was there again and after a while managed to get some fish and chips, had to queue with Remmie but I managed to keep him under control, well most of the time.
Handsome and his GF eventually turned up on bikes although these were cycles and not the harleyd *sigh* and you could see the glee in someones eyes when he saw the bouncy castle they didn't light up that much when he heard there was alocohol.
Remmie and myself sat most of the time on a bale of straw I think we got quite attached to it really although by the end the shape had changed a bit. Orddie as usual had some furrie friends with her..no comment.. thank goodness she didn't bring the snakes is all I can say.
There was much fun and merriement all night and I would not have missed it for the world and some things will stick in my mind for a long time, those like Meltie with no hair now or not much to count, Handsome flying over the back wall of the bouncy castle and emerging to the sound of clapping, the bath tub one always remembers that cos that is where the booze is and many other things that I will not bore you with but made me grin.
I had a great weekend and it was definately worth the effort my thanks to Beermat and Mindy for letting me (was going to say come here but I know you lot too well) attend the gathering. Of course there were lots of other peeps there whom I did not know but they certainly helped to make the evening a fun one.
It was sad to leave Brighton once again especially as the weather was sunny and hot at that time even though early on it had been raining. I left happy but a little part(OK maybe a big part) of my heart was sad.
